Verifying authorizations through your Microsoft O365 account

Prev Next

A newly created authorization is not able to take action on your behalf until it is verified in O365 and assigned to a remediation policy in the Email Security - Cloud Web UI. An authorization has the status "Pending" when it is created. After you verify the authorization in O365, the status changes to "Authorized".

To verify an authorization through your Microsoft O365 account:

  1. Go to the Authorization Configuration page of your authorization.

  2. Under Status, select Authorize. The O365 log in page appears.

  3. Log in to the O365 account associated with Email Security — Cloud. A list of requested permissions appear.

  4. Click Accept to accept the permissions and authorize Email Security — Cloud to retroactively act in your O365 inbox.

    Note

If the required permissions are missing, the authorization is not saved and the missing permissions are listed.

The Authorization Configuration page appears. The authorization status of your authorization is now "Authorized".
