cmc appliance <applianceID> source address <IPaddress>

Sets or removes the IPv4 address the appliance will use to initiate client-initiated connections.

This command is used to ensure that client-initiated connections are started from the expected IP address. If the IP address is set, the Central Management System appliance will not accept client-initiated connections from this appliance from IP addresses other than the once specified.

Note

Currently IPv6 addresses are not supported by this command. IPv6 addresses are supported in the appliance address command.

Syntax

[no] cmc appliance <applianceID> source address <IPaddress>

Parameters

no

Removes the previously added IP address.

applianceID

The unique appliance ID of the appliance to add.

IPaddress

The IP address the appliance will use to initiate client-initiated connections to the Central Management System appliance.

Example

The following example sets the source IP address 192.168.2.3 for the appliance EX2400-3.

hostname (config) # cmc appliance EX2400-3 source address 192.168.2.3

The following example removes the source IP address from the appliance EX2400-3.

hostname (config) # no cmc appliance EX2400-3 source address
