Sets or removes the port the appliance will use to initiate client-initiated connections.
Note
This command is used to ensure that client-initiated connections are started from the expected port. If the port is set, the CMS will not accept client-initiated connections from this appliance from ports other than the once specified.
Syntax
[no] cmc appliance <applianceID> source port <port>
Parameters
no
Removes the previously added port. If no port is set, the system will not validate the connection based on the port used to initiate a connection.
<applianceID>
The unique appliance ID of the appliance to add.
<port>
The port the appliance will use to initiate client-initiated connections to the CMS appliance.
Example
The following example sets the source port to 32 for the appliance EX2400-3.
hostname (config) # cmc appliance EX2400-3 source port 32
The following example removes the port from the appliance EX2400-3.
hostname (config) # no cmc appliance EX2400-3 source port
