Configure the network interface for Trellix SIEM appliance

Configure the network interface on Trellix ESM.

  1. Connect a monitor and keyboard to the appliance and power it on.

    The boot process completes in about two minutes, and the login prompt appears.

  2. Log in with the user ID "root" and the password "w3e4r5t6".

  3. Change the password.

  4. On the terminal menu, select Manage IP Configuration.

    The system prompts you for configuration values. The values will vary by appliance, but might include:

    • IP Address

    • Netmask

    • Gateway

    • DNS 1

    • DNS 2

  5. Enter a value for each item and press Enter.

  6. Save your changes.

    Important

    The terminal menu doesn't prompt you to save changes when exiting. Save your changes before exiting or you'll lose your work.

  7. Point a web browser to the Trellix ESM IP address and configure the appliances. See the Trellix Enterprise Security Manager Installation Guide for instructions.
