Configuring Additional Data Sources

To configure the data sources for Malware Analysis, Local IVX, and IVX Cloud, see the following sections.

Malware Analysis
  1. In the Enricher Module Settings page, click the Data Sources & Feed tab.

  2. Select the Multi-Vector Virtual Execution (MVX) checkbox and click Malware Analysis.

  3. Type your username and password.

  4. In the URL field, type the URL for the data source, in the format https://{IP_or_domain_name}:{port}, for example https://203.0.113.1:443.

  5. To limit the number of concurrent file submissions to the MVX, select the checkbox and enter the maximum number of files.

  6. Click Save Settings. The system will automatically test the connection.

Note

For customers concerned about their Malware Analysis performance, the concurrent submission limit will prevent the Enricher from adding high volumes of traffic to the Malware Analysis appliance. However, if the Enricher cannot complete enrichment within six hours, the submission times out. To help prevent Enricher timeouts, you can remove the concurrent submission limit and increase the Enricher timeout option in the configuration API from the default value of six hours (21600 seconds).

Local MVX
  1. In the Enricher Module Settings page, click the Data Sources & Feed tab.

  2. Select the Multi-Vector Virtual Execution (MVX) checkbox and select Local MVX.

  3. Type your username and password.

  4. In the URL field, type the URL for the data source, in the format https://{IP_or_domain_name}:{port}), for example https://203.0.113.1:443. The IP address or domain name should be the IP address or domain name of your Virtual Execution appliance. Use Port 443.

  5. To limit the number of concurrent file submissions to the MVX, select the checkbox and enter the maximum number of files.

  6. Click Save Settings. The system will automatically test the connection.

IVX Cloud
  1. In the Enricher Module Settings page, click the Data Sources & Feed tab.

  2. Select the Multi-Vector Virtual Execution (MVX) checkbox and select Intelligent Virtual Execution - Cloud .

  3. In the API Key field, type the key value.

    The URL field is automatically populated. Do not change this value.

  4. Click Save Settings. The system will automatically test the connection.

  5. To verify manually that your login credentials and URL information are correct, click Test Connection.
