Release details

Release date — 13 December, 2022

Build — Android devices 2.3.0
iOS devices 2.3.7

Trellix Endpoint Assistant 2.3.0 can be installed on Android version 9 or later only.

Endpoint Assistant  2.3.0 is available through the Apple App Store (iOS devices) and the Google Play App Store (Android devices).

Endpoint Assistant  2.3.0 and Trellix Drive Encryption allow for end-user self-recovery workflows such as resetting a forgotten password within the preboot authentication environment.

Endpoint Assistant 2.3.0 and Trellix File and Removable Media Protection together allow secure access to FRP encrypted files on mobile devices.

Note.

  • TEA deploys as a new application and will not upgrade from McAfee Endpoint Assistant (MEA). TEA will also not perform any migration of MEA data to TEA. TEA must be considered a fresh installation.

  • Trellix Drive Encryption users must re-enroll the systems for self-recovery with the new TEA application. Recovery keys are not migrated from MEA to TEA.

    • This requires a policy option to be set (Allow users to re-enroll self-recovery information at PBA). Once enabled and enforced, end users will have an option within preboot to re-enroll for self-recovery.

For the latest information on supported platforms, environments, and operating systems, see KB85893.
