Announcements
This document provides an overview of the known issues in the Trellix Endpoint Security Host Remediation Module 2.0.0 release.
FireEye Customer Security Best Practices
Because our quality assurance process includes continuous security testing, FireEye recommends updating all FireEye products with the latest releases as soon as possible. As an overall strategy to reduce risk exposure, customers are also encouraged to follow best practices, which include:
- Always keep the product version up-to-date.
- Limit network access to the management interfaces of the appliance using firewalls or similar measures.
- Only issue accounts to trusted administrators.
- Use strong passwords.
- Monitor logs.
- Restrict physical access to the appliance to trusted administrators.
Product Compatibility
System support
- Endpoint Security Server 5.1.0 and later
- Endpoint Agent 31.28.0 and later
- Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 or later
- macOS 10.10.5 or later
- Linux supports the same operating systems supported by the Agent
- Trellix Endpoint Power Edition license
- Trellix Endpoint Managed Defense license

Note
Trellix Endpoint Essentials Edition license is not supported.

Known Issues
The following issues are known in the Host Remediation Module release 2.0.
Note
The relevant issue tracking numbers for each item are included in parentheses.

Connection from the Host Remediation Module to endpoint agents using HXD is currently unsupported. (ENDPT-60508)

On a macOS machine with SIP enabled, a script or terminal command is not allowed to write to a file on the base landing directory. (ENDPT-99852)

After a module upgrade, macOS agents and Linux agents do not show a Ready to remediate status. Refresh the page to remedy this. (ENDPT-102603)
