How it works

Installing the agent on client systems is required for managing your security environment through ePO - On-prem.

This diagram shows how the Trellix Agent works when installed on client systems through ePO - On-prem.

1. You install the Trellix Agent on a client.

2. The Trellix Agent establishes a secure connection between the client and ePO - On-prem.

3. ePO - On-prem downloads the product software to the client over the secure connection.

4. The Trellix Agent sends client events and other information back to ePO - On-prem.
