Install Agent manually on Linux and Macintosh systems

Prev Next

Install Trellix Agent manually on Linux and Macintosh systems using ePO - On-prem or the custom agent installation URL.

On Linux and Macintosh systems, Trellix Agent is installed manually using an installation script (install.sh) that ePO - On-prem creates when you check in the Trellix Agent software package in the ePO - On-prem Main Repository and indicate the operating system in use. Ubuntu Linux client systems have a slightly different manual installation method, which is discussed in later sections in the document.

Note

When you install Trellix Agent on Linux systems using the Sudo command or ePO push and use proxy to communicate between Trellix Agent and ePO - On-prem, you need to define the proxy environment variables for Sudo. You can define them in the /etc/environment or /etc/sudoers file.
