Caution

Internal improvements made to the Trellix Endpoint Security (HX) xAgent installation for version 25 may result in the loss of audit capabilities for clients upgrading from MIR or version 11 xAgent s to version 25 or later.

Important

Trellix recommends that after upgrading to Trellix Endpoint Security (HX) xAgent version 26, you restart your host endpoints to ensure agent notifications are started.

This section provides instructions for upgrading MIR or Windows xAgent s version 11 to Trellix Endpoint Security (HX) xAgent version 35.31.0 .

To upgrade your endpoints running MIR or Endpoint Security (HX) xAgent version 11:

  1. Upgrade your Trellix Endpoint Security (HX) software to version 3.6.0 before you upgrade your xAgent software. See the Endpoint Security (HX) System Administration Guide for information on upgrading your Endpoint Security (HX) server.

  2. Upgrade your MIR or xAgent version 11 to xAgent version 24.9.0.

  3. Upgrade your Windows endpoints from xAgent version 24.9.0 to version 35.31.0 . .
