You can use the System Modules or Installed Modules pages in Endpoint Module Administration to upgrade the modules you have installed on your Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI.
To upgrade a module, a version of the module must already be installed on your Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI and the version number of the installed module must be lower than the version number of the module to which you are upgrading. When you upgrade to a newer version of a module, the state (Enabled or Disabled) and configuration settings of the currently installed module are backed up and restored in the upgraded version.
You are notified that a newer version of a module is available in the Up to Date column on the System Modules and Installed Modules pages. When a newer version of a module is available, you see an Upgrade Available icon in the Up to Date column. When upgrades are available, a numbered icon appears next to each tab on the Modules page. The number displayed in the icon represents the number of modules on that tab that have a newer version available.
To upgrade a module:
Log in to the Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI with your admin credentials.
From the Modules menu, select Endpoint Module Administration to access the Modules page.
On the Modules page, click Find Modules to navigate to Trellix Market.
In Trellix Market, search for and select the module you want to upgrade.
In the selected module page in Trellix Market, click Downloadand specify the download location for the .cms file.
The .cms file for the selected module is downloaded to the directory you specify.
On the Modules page, select System Modules or Installed Modules depending on the type of module you are upgrading.
Click the Actions icon for the module you want to upgrade and select Upgrade.
In the Upgrade Module dialog box, click Select File.
Select the .cms file and click Open.
The selected .cms file appears in the Upgrade Module dialog box.
In the Upgrade Module dialog box, click Upgrade.
A message at the top of the page indicates whether the upgrade was successful. You can verify the upgrade by checking the module version number in the Version column on the Modules page and the Up to Date column indicates that the module is up to date.
