Enabling multifactor authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of security when you log in to products. The authentication factors include a combination of a login username and password, and a one-time password (OTP) that is sent to the user's registered phone number.
To enable multifactor authentication:
In the IAM dashboard page, hover over
in the upper-right corner and select Manage Users.Enable the Require Multifactor Authentication button on the top-right corner.
Click Confirm to enable multifactor authentication for all users in your organization.
MFA is enabled for all users in your organization.
Users must select one of the following authentication methods during their first login:
SMS Authentication — The OTP is sent through a text to the user's registered mobile number.
Voice Call Authentication — The OTP is sent through a voice call to the user's registered mobile number.
Authenticator Application — The OTP is generated in real-time through an app on the user's registered mobile device.
Users can reset their MFA methods in the My Profile page. They cannot disable multifactor authentication after it is configured by the administrator.
