tacacs-server host <ip address> timeout

Specifies the number of seconds before retransmitting a request that previously timed out to this TACACS+ server. The default is 3.

Note

This command overrides the global timeout value configured with the tacacs-server timeout <seconds> command.

Syntax

tacacs server host <ip address> timeout <seconds>

Parameters

ip address

Specify the IPv4 address of this TACACS+ server.

seconds

Specify the number of seconds to wait before retransmitting a request that previously timed out. Valid values are 1–60. The default is 3.

Example

The following example configures a 10-second timeout for the specified TACACS+ server.

hostname (config) # tacacs-server host 172.16.1.1 timeout 10
